Hotel Ohla, Barcelona

We were allowed to check-in early when rooms were available around 9am, after a long flight from Singapore. This means a lot to us because it allowed us to have a good rest early before start of our holiday. Special thanks to hotel staff Xavi, Rafael and Iago for their hospitality during our stay. Friendly and personalized service made our stay a very pleasant one.

Excellent location.

Dripping shower. Decor a bit dark.

Gym was not very suitable for serious lifters. A solid bench press with an Olympic barbell and a good pull up bar are missing.

I appreciated the level of service from both management & staff. I had an issue with my room and it was handled beautifully, for which I greatly appreciated!

A recommendation for a restaurant (on a Sunday night) that didn’t end up being anything memorable, only a lot of money spent.

Actually can’t think of anything

Most of the staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast was great. Sauna and gym facilities were good. Room was comfortable, we moved rooms as the room did not have a shower but the hotel was very accommodating. They ensured we had a comfortable stay.

A few staff required customer training.

The location was excellent! The staff were incredible and we loved the room itself! Breakfast was nice.

The toilet paper was uncomfortable and seemed very cheap for a 5 star hotel. The room cleaning time was very late on 2 of the days, meaning we needed to wait around on 1 day and the other we skipped it completely

The breakfast could include more variety of fruits and vegetables. The same applies to cheese. Didn't meet my expectations.

The hotel is very well located in the Gothic Quarter, the rooms are beautiful and well equipped, the rooftop bar is a plus and the Michelin-starred restaurant was fantastic. The hotel staff was also very nice and helpful to arrange the little details.

Still some fine-tuning to become a real 5 star hotel (spontaneous service at reception, breakfast variety), but I'm confident it's just a matter of time.

Ohla Hotel is in a great location in the central city within walking distance to cafes, restaurants, shopping and local attractions. The breakfast was excellent and the room was spacious, nicely presented and well equipped. We went to dinner in the hotel at 'Caelis' which is a one star Michelin restaurant. This was a real treat, with impeccable service and a very beautifully creative degustation menu. We also went to the stunning rooftop bar which is very popular with every reason, but the staff always leave well positioned tables for guests of the hotel.

From the moment of check in ,you are greated with champagne and chocolate. Lemon water in crystal glasses. The concierge recommended us to some fabulous places to dine each night, and. Best advice to see the sites. The restaurant was beautiful and had wonderful art. Great location. We were able to walk to marina and all the shops. Rooms were basic but comfortable. We enjoyed the stay. Great boutique hotel.

This is my 2nd visit in the last 3 years. Great hotel, amazing location, within walking distance of many main attractions. Clean comfortable room, the rooftop pool/bar has the best views but can get very busy at night as its so popular, will definitely stay here again. It is on the pricey side however that's what 5 star costs in Barcelona.

Its expensive, the breakfast buffet is very European so not to my taste.

The staff were excellent, professional and super friendly. They made our stay more positive, especially Marc really cool and professional gentlemen. The overall stay was positive which few slight suggestions to be considered.

Key restaurant Michelin star wasn't available always but only on selected days. We booked the junior sweet with the intention that their was a balcony per the pictures presented but wasn't the case. The carpet of the room was not as clean as expected. And the price was higher than usual, we'd appreciate a slight adjustment for the facilities provided.

They sent me an email to ask me what kind of pillows I wanted. I went to the trouble of filling in the survey and everything and then they didn’t give me the pillows that I wanted.

This is only a small thing but staff in breakfast restaurant were very slow to clean tables, but otherwise really good

The staff were exemplary: welcoming, always going the extra mile to provide information, give exceptional service, solve issues or just to suggest places to eat or visit. The rooftop bar and pool were both amazing as was the food and drink offering. Made all the more special as this space was reserved for hotel guests until the evening. Cealis (the Michelin star restaurant) was exceptional: outstanding service and wonderful food!

The hotel décor was very dark in places: the downstairs toilets were particularly dark. Otherwise no detrimental comments. Our room though fabulously spacious would have benefitted from more storage.

Location and design were fab but the staff were truly outstanding. Many top hotels have amazing staff but they also tend to enjoy the kudos of international brands. For an independent boutique hotel to attract and retain such stars is truly remarkable. As Javi C, who waved his magic wand to ensure the workmen digging up the road outside stopped to allow us to enjoy our blissful spa treatments, remarked: our clients are our standard operating procedures 😁

Ah-mazing!!! From even before entering the hotel, to the very last morning, we SO enjoyed this stay. The staff were lovely and courteous, always professional and welcoming, and very attentive. The food was delicious and the breakfast had everything one could want. The rooftop was gorgeous, the room/service was flawless, and we will definitely be sharing our reviews with others! Thank you to Iraia & Andrea for the wonderful dinner recommendations and to Qui-Que & Eduardo for getting us settled in so warmly when we got there.

The staff at Ohla made me feel a part of their community, even if just for a while. They were gracious, caring, and attentive hosts. Our room was exceptional - we had an excellent view, it was immaculately clean, and there was obvious attention to detail and comfort.

I had an exceptional stay , From the moment I arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. One of the most heartwarming touches was the little surprises left on my bed—sometimes a piece of chocolate, other times a sweet treat—small gestures that made a big difference. The team constantly reminded me that I was the “owner of the place” and that I should truly feel at home, and that’s exactly how I felt. On top of that, the location is incredibly convenient—right in the center of everything, with easy access to shops, restaurants, and major attractions. It’s rare to find a place that combines warmth, elegance, and such a perfect location. I can’t recommend it highly enough. Special thanks to Ravi on the Receiption who was more than great - I will definitely book there again .
