Citybox, Oslo

The location was great, just a 5-minute walk from Oslo Central Station. There was a supermarket and public transportation right around the corner, it was centrally located near the attractions, and it had comfortable, automated facilities.

The water pressure on the 7th floor was quite low, certainly not up to the standard of the rest of the facilities. The baby crib wasn't the typical pack-and-play model, but one with side rails—which posed a danger to restless babies… ours kept bumping into the rails as he moved around and would wake himself up.

Good location, 10 minute walk to train station. Close to lots of restaurants, museums etc. Tram stop right outside the door which was great. Good value compared to other hotels in the area.

Room needed some maintenance - no major issues, small items like knobs missing etc. Lobby area with construction and guest kitchen area were quite dirty. We had a reservation, self check in did not work but staff was available.

The location is perfect in the city center and close to the train station and the tram station is just outdoor . The twin room size is good.

The room view on the internal court (same window level for 2nd floor) which is not clean and full with cigarettes and broken lighters!! The beds mattress is not attached to the bed and keep slipping out.

The location was fabulous - close to the station and a great base. The rooms were spotlessly clean and the bed was very comfortable - we slept very well! The shower was good too.

The rooms were small, which was fine for a short stay, but I would have preferred a bit more space had I been staying longer.

I wasn’t sure what to expect, but the room and the hotel as an overall was clean and tidy, safe and secure with access to staff available.

Having space for luggage to enable accessibility to enable bags to not be a trip hazard is something all venues needs to provide. Closing to stand bags is not practical for travellers. Push bags under the bed, something more would have been ideal and practical. Would have appreciated a drinking tap, again for practicality, to fill a kettle or a bottle of water. These are the only two items I could fault. Additionally, maybe consider a key drop box in the office, being sent back to check in just to drop a key seemed stupid after checking with the office to check payment was in order and nothing else outstanding. Maybe it’s an older person thing, but I’d rest on the knowledge I wouldn’t be the only older person to stop at the office when checking out. To be a little more helpful is meaningful to an older person who likes or needs the added support, given we all know young people don’t want the help so it wouldn’t be everyone asking.

Great location though room was very tiny in size. There was reno ongoing when we stayed and everything was very messy. Hotel also charged me again for my stay even though I paid on Booking.com already. That was annoying but thankfully the hotel staff sorted it out fairly quickly and gave me a refund after I flagged this.

Poor shower strength, Weak hairdryers, hooks and hangers in room were all broken.

I would have liked at least water in my room but I understand the reasons . I wasn’t aware in advance and arrived late so didn’t feel like going down to communal areas. Next time I would be prepared

This is interesting concept of an affordable hostel-like place in the center of Oslo. Good location is main asset, so size of the rooms, very basic room amenities and so on does not matter so much. One can have self-service breakfast in the common area, but there is plenty of nice cafes around.

In one of our rooms window did not close well, so the chill came from outside togehter with weekend noise from late night crowd and car music.

Location, a lot of nice Cafés just around the corner and the trainstation near by. The stuff was nice and supportive at all time. The room was bright but spartanly decorated. It was quiet during the night, could sleep well.

I had a balcony, that actually could need some renovation. The commen area with microwave and kettle could have been cleaner, but that's probably due to the other guests and not to the hotel itself.

The only thing I would have changed would be a kettle and some instant coffee in the room.

Big room, but oddly laid out and not great quality. Has everything you need for a short stay.

Knees hit the shower trying to use the toilet. Uncomfortable beds. No TV in the room so you have to use the common area which can be noisy.

Great location in the centrum of the city, near the train station, shopping possibilities and easy to get around in the area.

We spent 2 nights and had a wonderful stay. The bed was comfortable and clean and nice room. The hotel located meddle of the Oslo city and easy to access bus and train station from Airport and local cities.

There is no tea/coffee making facility on the room, even the lobby not available but there was paying coffee machine in the lobby.

Centrally located hotel, just a few minutes from the central train station. Room was ok, basic but comfortable. Great wifi connection.

The shower had a bit of hair and the water took sometime to go down the drain which caused an overflow of water in the shower. Also, the size of the shower was small.

Very modern hotel. Has more of a Student hostel vibe but our room was clean and comfortable. The location is very good, just 4 min walk or 1 stop on the tram from the central station. Never saw any staff as check in and out is fully done electronically but works well. Overall a good price for the centre of Oslo

The hotel was in the city center and close to the train station. The rooms were clean and decent.

The only thing missing was disposable slippers in the rooms.

Loved the central location, just steps from the Cathedral and Central Station, perfect for airport connections. Room small but cozy with a nice view and convenient luggage storage.

No room and bathroom amenities provided and although shared water carafes were available for guests, they were often empty considering the size of the hotel.

Everything works! It's a minimalist hotel (not a bad thing at all - keeps the cost down). The automated check in/check out, baggage store etc are easy and reliable. Plenty of facilities in the common areas.

The entire hotel including elevators (but excluding rooms) were heavily smelling food. The room might be cleaner.

The central location within walking distance to the train station and sights, cosy room, got a water kettle from reception for the room. My room type wasn't ready after 3pm from the kiosk, the lady at the reception upgraded me to another room type.

Great location! Seems like a pretty big hotel, however it’s spacious with nice and visible navigation around. A room itself was clean and comfy. Separate compliment for a bed - amazing mattress. Very cozy sleep! Also I was impressed with how hot was bathroom floor. Couldn’t stand there with bare feet for too long. But generally experience at this hotel was nice

Did not like that the kettle was in the lobby and not in the room.

I was accommodated right above the tram stop, however my window didn’t shut fully, so it was loud. When I went to change the staff took a while and had to check the room, to let me switch. But it was managed in the end!

The bathroom was really clean and the check in and out process was seamless. The lounge area was great and had all the necessary amenities including laundry and ironing spaces

The bedroom was really congested and there was no space to keep our luggage without causing more congestion

Location is excellent. It is close to central station and there is tram stop right in front of the hotel. Staff are helpful and nice. Though rooms are clean.

Room is relatively basic with no small refrigerator, no glass and water pot. The water in common is not refilled in night. Bathroom is small and no hanger for hanging clothes.

Perfect location to explore the city, all main attractions/ districts within a 15 minute walk

Unluckily renovation work was happening when we there and replacement facilities were basic

Great location in central Oslo - super close to the train station that connects Oslo airport with the city. Also close to the trams. Small but comfortable room, very clean. Good value. No staff around - it's all self service, but works well including the easy to use self-service luggage storage.

Great location - easy walk from the train station (train from airport). Easy to walk to all the main tourist attractions. 12:00 check out time was much appreciated and they allowed me a late check out til 1pm. This hotel was very cheap.

The hotel was very chaotic. Check-in was absolutely manic with the whole check in area seemingly under construction. They issued me a key that didn't work so had to trek back and forth with bags. The staff we generally quite poor. I went to get a late check out which they allowed (5 people standing round behind one computer while there were about 20 guests queuing for assistance) but then they failed to add it to my booking so I was harassed by the cleaner in the morning to leave my room. All in all the experience was less 'hotel' like and more like budget travel - perhaps flying with a low cost airline but all and all I didn't mind at the price was low.

Not really much but maybe just a bad timing, I checked out around 5-6pm and just went to my appointment and then went back to the hotel to take a warm bath,I didn’t have time to roam around the city to find place to eat coz I was tired and cold so I decided to maybe just find something on the vended machine, but wasn’t able to get something coz when I choose a product it says it’s offline something like that, like I can’t go any further to choose any option so i just skip and went to my room and sleep.
