It’s a great location with great facilities

There is nothing I didn’t like about the Ace

A hotel for all 5 senses: the food was delicious, spaces immaculate, music on, comfiest beds my back has ever touched, the place smelled beautiful. A feast of art is scattered across the hotel, Julia Gutman spotted. Not much to say, close to perfect in vibe and hospitality

Staff at Loam and the bar (although lovely) can consider being a bit more helpful and problem solving. Loam particularly was unhelpful and turn down a reservation request abruptly.

Brilliant stay at a friendly hotel. Ray was lovely on reception.

Very cool hotel and extremely friendly staff. Ray was particularly friendly on reception and very helpful during check-in. I also reported, to him, that the light in the shower in one of our rooms was out and we returned to see it had been fixed.

I am old and.need to spend some time each day relaxing in my room.. There is nowhere to sit but the bed or a tiny stool which has no back and is too low for me to get up from. I can't drink tea nor read the SMH lying down.

Location, views and style of the rooms and lobby. Also appreciated the gym.

The design is cool. The room is comfortable (despite several review about the room is small), additionally, the staff are very helpful and attentive.

The whole hotel was a great vibe. It was stylish, clean and had a nice feel. The rooms were good and had everything we needed. The locaiton was good, close to everything we wanted to do.

The bathroom design is a bit awkward and not great. Would be better if it was fully separate like other hotels.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. My friend and I enjoyed a nice late lunch in the restaurant. And I had a cocktail in the bar in the evening. The bed was comfortable.

The shower door opened in such a way that I could not put the bathmat on the floor outside the shower. It was a little awkward. The light switches seemed to be in strange places too. Took some getting used to. And as an older guest, I found the door room numbers (carved in wood) impossible to read! I was in a room ending in 7, and I actually tried two other rooms (ending in 1 and 4) until I finally found the correct one!

Great location, great facilities, staff were all lovely and super helpful. All the in house food options were of a very high standard too and there are so many good restaurants and cafes near by Would definitely recommend to anyone that wants to stay central but it a more interesting location

The room lighting is very low but I think this is a style choice.

Excellent accommodation so close to public transport and services. A special mention to Brian, a guided tour of the building, thank you Brian. We were able to walk to All destinations A must stay for next time. Jan Holian

Very cool, stylish and comfortable hotel. The rooms are very comfortable and well styled, very clean and great facilities - the beds and pillows were really comfortable, complimentary robes, really nice shampoo, conditioner and shower gel provided, free tea and coffee, excellent snack bar options. The downstairs bar and cafe is a really nice spot for a drink, and they do an excellent martini. Location is convenient for public transport and also a short walk to Surry Hills and the CBD. Would definitely recommend if you're looking to treat yourself with a stay in the city.

Lovely staff who rescued me when I arrived sans toothpaste. Very helpful and gave me a room upgrade - completely unexpected, but a lovely gesture, thank you.

This place was very cool, relaxed, but highly professional. Well done..! The rooftop bar/restaurant is great. The rooms are also very good and of high quality.

Clean, spacious and well appointed stylish room. Everything needed for few nights, and the layout was extremely functional. Brilliant facilities and bar and Cafe were both excellent. Location is convenient to both town and the railway station. Can't fault it.

Rooms were nice and beautiful decorated.

Bar staff was rude on Saturday morning - felt like we were inconveniencing them asking for some ice which I found bizarre as they work in a hotel. Charged extra to change rooms which were the same price online.

Great location with funky vibe

Staff were really friendly, the room was very comfortable & clean and the location was great.

The bed, blanket and pillows were amazing. Definitely the best ones i have ever had in a hotel, loved the gym and overall feeling of the hotel. The only thing was that water didn’t seem to go down so fast.

It was very quirky and it was handy to have a restaurant downstairs

I just didn’t like how the room numbers were written in wood. I don’t have the best eyesight and the numbers were very confusing.

Loved the beds, pillows and the bar area. Very clean and first hotel I have stayed in for years that didn’t have a smoke alarm above the bed either the brightest light in the history of the world. Loam cafe was sensational. Vibey and stylish decor and mood.

Pinot Noir at the bar was not great!

Funky design details but not at the expense of quality and comfort- everything was thoughtful and well made eg Good lighting, comfortable spaces, good use of small areas, enough storage room etc

Ace was a great base for exploring central Sydney & Surrey Hills. The room was small but as we expected - it is what we booked! The bar was great and staff super friendly. Loved all the extra touches in the room to keep the room ‘on theme’. Overall a great stay. Room service a great touch.

A slightly extended walk to main tourist points but definitely manageable with sensible shoes. Room was very small but this was expected. Very noisy throughout the night and day with people entering/exiting their rooms with heavy doors. Cleaners were very noisy early in the morning bashing the doors and walls waking us every morning, but they did a great job.

The really loud music in the foyer / bar in the early evening. We had to go out for a pre-dinner drink with friends so that we could speak without shouting.

Easy check-in and we got to check in early. The staff are so lovely and you can enjoy food and drinks without leaving. The decor is gorgeous.

The rooms are quite small but we did love that it had a built in couch
