Breakfast was yummy and catered to our request for a smaller serve. The staff were very welcoming and happy to answer any questions. It was close enough to walk to Carlton gardens and restaurants

Have no complaints except the weather was a bit hit and miss 😀 We did come prepared.

I liked the quality and the comfort of the fittings in the room, the lovely subdued lighting and the sound proofing. The bathroom was excellent and everything was very clean. The restaurant onsite made our stay so easy although we had to check out Lygon Street for all their eateries. Great location.

My only complaint is the lack of a microwave. We stayed for almost a week so we would have liked a few less expensive meals during that time instead of having to go out to eat 3 times a day.

Style, staff and the included breakfast were amazing

The bathroom and the toilet are only divided by a glass wall from the bedroom. It was a it weird to be able to see the silhouette of your partner while being in the bathroom. A bit more privacy would make the room perfect

Great hotel, staff very friendly and accommodating, clean, comfortable beds, quiet and a few extra nice touches in the rooms such as a hair straightener and lovely products. We had breakfast on site, made use of takeaway coffees and also the wine bar. Easy access to CBD, huge variety of Lyon St restaurants and other areas - walking distance but at the end of the day only around a $12 Uber! Will definitely stay here again.

Our stay at Zagame’s House was exceptional from start to finish. The location is unbeatable - just steps from the vibrant Lygon Street dining precinct and within easy reach of the free tram and central attractions. The hotel itself is very well presented, with modern, spotless rooms that are spacious, thoughtfully laid out, and incredibly comfortable. The staff were consistently outstanding: warm, professional, and genuinely eager to help. Every interaction, whether at reception, breakfast, or the Lord Lygon restaurant and wine bar, was marked by friendliness and efficiency. Breakfast was a standout - generous, delicious, and served with the same attentive hospitality that defined the rest of our stay. Amenities throughout the hotel were excellent, and the overall atmosphere was charming, stylish, and inviting. In short, every aspect of our visit exceeded expectations. We highly recommend Zagame’s House and will absolutely stay again.

The simplicity but taste in room decor and facilities. Great staff..professional, warm and engaging. Tasteful comfortable lounge space and great breakfast. Enjoyed the ambience in Lord Byron bar and my cocktail was delicious! Great location.

Air con not very effective and it was 30+degrees outside. Also there was no top sheet. Just a doona in a white cover and so very hot in bed when trying to sleep. Couldn’t put our drinks in fridge as no room and all supplied drinks in fridge if removed would be charged to our room. Mattress too hard. Needs a mattress topper.

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful, which made us feel welcome right away. The location is very good, with easy access to everything we needed. There are plenty of parking spaces available at a fair price, which is a big plus. The rooms are well equipped and comfortable.

As a small suggestion for improvement, the shower does not have a splash guard, so the entire bathroom gets wet after showering. This is only a minor issue and does not significantly affect the overall experience.

The staff were all smiles and very welcoming. The location is excellent—only a 10-15 minute walk to both the city center and the University of Melbourne.

The soundproofing wasn't too bad, but I was disappointed to find oil stains on my white clothes after using the communal washing machine.

Amazingly friendly staff, comfy and has everything you need. Room layout makes good use of space, feels peacful and private. Slightly more expensive than id wanted but i didnt feel it was bad value! Good breaky options in the morning
