The original room we booked smelled absolutely awful like rotten sewer. No way we could sleep in that. We complained to the front desk and they were able to get us a different room which was a very nice accommodation for our group. Very happy with how they handled it.

Very comfortable hostel with lots of relaxing corners in the whole building. The vintage style kitchen has a very good athmosphere. Easy to get new friends.

No key for the locker at the reception, got it from a fellow traveller when he left. One midnight the staff came into the room to fix something, it was weird. Bathroom had an opaque glass wand, so everyone in the dormitory could see the inside silhouettes.

The location, the facilitoes, the setting were all top class

One of the lifts does not work. It is very old and it is quite inconvenient

we had to change rooms as the first one was too noisy with other guests. When we swapped the room hadn't been cleaned properly, bins were full, soaps left out half used etc. the key fob also didn't work on two occasions so we had to keep going back and fourth to the desk. My sun was also upset that the pool table was out of action.

I should probably make some shelves so we can put something near the bed. the drawers are really small for things

The accommodation was clean, well maintained, and everything was in good order. The staff were friendly, helpful, and welcoming. We were able to leave our luggage safely in storage after check‑out for a small fee while continuing to explore the city, which was very convenient. The breakfast was very good and nicely balanced — not excessive, but definitely filling. For 9 euros, the selection was generous and offered great value for money. There is a large shared kitchen and a sunny terrace (sunny from morning until midday), which was a real highlight. We didn’t try the restaurant area, but it looked cozy and interesting. The room itself was normal size and normally equipped, with everything needed: towels, soap, hairdryer, hangers, etc. The bed was comfortably firm. The building has beautiful high ceilings and a dignified historic feel, the rooms have been tastefully renovated. The old elevators in both stairwells were a charming feature and felt safe and well maintained. The location is excellent. Although the hotel is situated on a busy street, the door was solid and insulated well — noise from other guests was minimal and not disturbing. Street noise was very noticeable in the room with a street‑side balcony when windows were open, but the terrace facing the inner courtyard seemed quiet, so rooms on that side are likely much more peaceful.

During our stay, renovation work was taking place, which meant that the balcony view was significantly obstructed by scaffolding and semi‑transparent protective covers. Additionally, the air conditioner / heat pump was somewhat noisy, even when set to quiet mode.

A coffee maker and some additional space for handling luggage bags would have made it easier to manage .

Beds were very comfortable, and the bathroom was spacious, with updated fixtures. I especially enjoyed the architectural features of the room: the high ceilings, the moldings, the decorative columns, etc. The kitchen and dining space, as well as the lounge/study areas are quite large and inviting. The location is very convenient --- just a couple of blocks down from the subway/Metro and tour bus lines......!

The staff at the reception could have been friendlier---- and especially BETTER-INFORMED about the immediate area. I asked a couple of questions about the metro station and bus lines, and the young woman seemed perturbed with me.... and she gave me the WRONG instructions! I could not tell if she was a new-hire, or a substitute "SECRET SERVICE " agent.....!

I loved the location, all the architectural gems of Barcelona were within walking distance. We even walked to the beach and park Güell no problem.

There was no chair nor table in the room and little place to unpack our stuff (all shown in pics though, so we knew what we were getting ourselves into, it was fine for a few days, probably wouldn’t stay there for a week or longer tho). My boyfriend complained about the bed mattress being too worn-out, I sleep like a log however so I didn’t notice.

The building is beautiful. My room was on the 4th floor. The window was in a bit of a weird place, but it was cosy! Spacious bathroom. Had a rack to hang jackets etc. I loved the lift! The staff were kind and helpful (despite dealing with multiple people)

I was a bit cold at night and I had to use a towel as an extra blanket.

The room was small and lacked storage. The shower had a large step and no handrail which could be risky for anyone with mobility issues.

stayed in two different rooms and both smelled moldy ... the air conditioners in both rooms just made a lot of noise but didn't actually provide fresh air I felt. Rooms like this would need a high quality filter system running 24/7 in my opinion, I never experienced something like this in europe .. just one room in madagascar (one of the poorest places in the world) comes to mind, if I'd have to compare the air quality of these rooms ...

there wasnt any proper working area. there were school kids two of the days in the common area which made it quite hard to work

Friendly staff, great service. Room was clean and stylish. Cosy common spaces. Ok breakfast buffet. Centrally located. Close to Metro.

The bed was far from soft. A lot of noise from outside during the night, but with good ear plugs this was not a problem. Just something to be aware of.

Some guest were little bit noisy first night but nothing to do with the property, my suggestion is to have a silence policy starting specific hours at night for all guests

Despite the cleaning stuff was for 10, the age and interior design of rooms is making it hard to be cleaner. Room was little bit small. There was no closet in the room, only wall hanger with two shelves, no kettle or coffee machine in room. But regardless of this comment I would book this room.

Aya and Alexia at the reception where really kind and helpful at our requests during the check-in and throughout our stay. Overall, it was a pleasant experience.

Location was great, friendly staff (especially Aya), nice breakfast. Towels delivered (for free!) to your room upon request. The kitchen was huge and plenty of space to sit and eat.

We were in room 103, very accessible from both the ground floor and the breakfast area. Location was around lots of shopping, very close to public transportation, and many good food areas (including their own restaurant and bar!)

The bed was interesting because it was two separate mattresses that were combined under one sleeping pad, so if you slept in the middle, you would sink between them.

The girls dormitory was spacious, lots of storage spaces, private bathroom and clean overall. A good experience. Location was excellent.

This is the best hostel I’ve stayed at so far. I’ve never seen a hostel as clean as Casa Garcia. The rooms are cute, and the location is perfect everything is very close, and the metro station is just a 3-minute walk away. The staff were extremely nice, especially Eren at the reception. His English is very good, and he was very kind and helpful. I will absolutely return to this hostel and highly recommend it

We loved our stay at Casia Gracia, the location was amazing to explore the Gracia neighborhood and our view from the suite was fantastic. Thank you Alia for making our stay so special !

The room were cleaned and sheets and towels were changed every day. Location was okay with metro.

The room was really small and there wasnt much space to move actually. The cabins were positioned in a staircase-like arrangement. And it makes it impossible to put your luggage inside of the first cabin and use it daily. The blankets were really thin and cause you to get cold in the night.

Location is superb. A couple of blocks from Gaudi’s Casa Mila, which means you are right in elegant Barcelona territory while still being able to walk, eat, and wander without feeling trapped in postcard mode. Transport, cafés, and late night snacks are all exactly where you want them to be. Front desk deserves real credit. Yvonne who checked us in was genuinely helpful and efficient, and somehow managed to place both my partner and me into the same room without fuss. Friendly, attentive, and professional, the kind of welcome that immediately lowers travel stress levels. Then there is the room. Big, spacious, and unfortunately designed by someone who has never slept in a shared room. A toilet and shower placed directly inside a dorm shared by six people is an acoustic experiment nobody asked for. Every sound, every splash, every midnight visit becomes a group experience. Beds have no curtains, so privacy is completely theoretical. Lockers placed on the steps leading to the upper bunk raise serious questions about safety and logic, and you cannot fit anything larger than a 35L backpack inside them. Looks cool, works poorly. A pure design fault. In the room 106, only bed 5 & 6 get a larger locker storage.. but why not the other 4 beds?? Apart from the room layout, everything else is good. Common areas are pleasant, the building has character, and the overall operation feels competent and well run. Verdict. Fantastic location, great staff, good facilities. But the dorm room design seriously undermines the experience.

I liked everything! The room was very clean and had everything necessary to enjoy your vacation! The position was amazing, 3 mins from Casa Batllo! I loved it!

I received excellent support from especially one girl in the reception, her name was Ivonne. As I'm travelling alone, the first room was a bit kramped. As I had to spend ample time in the room working, I asked for a change. Ivonne helped me change to another room that exceeded my expectations, so big thanks to her and her friendliness!! The room was spacious, light, with a very nice bed and a sweet balcony. The location of the hotel is also excellent; all sights within walking or cycling distance.
