Hotel Pod 39, New York

The water pressure was amazing! The staff was very nice and easy to work with throughout our stay. The location is probably the biggest bonus being so close to Grand Central and only about a mile from most local attractions!

The room was very small but had what was needed although a little fridge would be a wonderful add to the room as we had leftovers often and had no where to store them.

Was clean and close to grand central! Was also very quiet.

Coffee starting at 6 or 6:30 would be a nice change

A little too acoustically exposed. Could very clearly hear cleaning crew during mornings when my girlfriend and I wanted to sleep in.

Its location for travelling was perfect. With a reasonable price, I think this would be the best option.

The heater/air conditioning was a bit loud. It was sometimes hard to sleep.

Everything required was available ..... lobby and bar (with free coffee at breakfast time) Room has bed, desk, good storage for clothes and luggage.... and ensuite with rainforest shower.

... the lights seemed overly complicated .... on/off would suffice.....

I went on a solo trip for 5 days and 4 nights, booked a single pod. I thought that the room would have been very small, but honestly I was surprised to see that it was actually perfect for just one person! There is a private bathroom, which was a must for me, with all basic amenities (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, soap bar, hairdryer), and even a TV. The best part of my entire stay was definitely the location. It is just 10 minutes by foot from Grand Central where all major subway lines are, plus it is 8 minutes from the Summit, which has a phenomenal observation experience. The main spots and monuments are in walking distance, but everything is well connected by either bus or subway. Along with that, there is housekeeping service every day which gives you fresh sheets and towels. There is also a safe, really useful. Overall, the place overly satisfied my expectations. The views from my room were great!

It will sound cliché, but as my first time for more than 2 days in nyc, the prices of accommodations in Manhattan are crazy high. For "just" 4 nights this was the cheapest option I found, but it was still very expensive. However, because I was on my own I was flexible and adapted to everything. Another thing is the open air terrace on the top of the building. Unfortunately there are currently some works going on so access was closed.

Hotel very clean, comfortable and well located. No regrets or complains.

The room was very functional with plenty of storage despite being a small space (deep drawer under the bed and a space for a suitcase, a safe and rail with hangers, plus a shelf in the bathroom for toiletries). The location is great, right by Grand Central station, and felt very safe for a solo female traveller! Highly recommend.

Some noise disturbance from the person in the room next door to mine, I don’t think the walls are very thick so I would recommend taking ear plugs.

Great location (3 blocks from Grand Central-42 St), comfortable bed, and daily housekeeping. Satisfactory private bathroom incl. hot shower water. The room includes a safe for storing valuables. Prompt maintenance service.

The room is on the smaller side. Tap water was discolored, and it was unclear where to obtain drinking water otherwise, so I resorted to drinking bottled water. No kettle or minifridge, although that is to be expected. Only 3 elevators so some waiting might be expected.

Although the room seemed small, it had everything you need in your accommodation, for someone traveling through New York. I already knew it was well located, but I only realized it was even better than I thought when I went out every morning to explore the city; everything was close to the hotel. They even made it possible, without any problem, to leave my luggage at the hotel and pick it up later, so I could enjoy my last day in the city without worries. I will definitely return on my next visit to New York.

We happened to be in New York during last weekend’s major blizzard, and Pod 39 truly exceeded our expectations. Due to flight cancellations, we unexpectedly had to extend our stay, and the staff were incredibly kind and helpful. They assisted us in extending our reservation at a special rate and even offered complimentary breakfast. We were so grateful for their flexibility and warmth during what could have been a very stressful situation. The free morning coffee was a lovely touch, the heating worked perfectly (which was essential during the snowstorm), and the showers had excellent water pressure and temperature. Everything was spotless, and the cleanliness of the hotel really stood out. Thank you for the hospitality! Pod 39 is definitely our go-to place whenever we visit NYC.

Location price and amenities were really great small room but very enough.location really easy to get to really close to central station and touristic places.

The only thing thag can be improved is that they dont have any do nit disturb or I dont cleaning options. It is both invasive and not eco friendly. There was times that I was sleeping in and the cleaning lady insisted on coming in which is weird.

The room was small as expected, but very practical, clean and comfortable. The location is amazing — honestly, you couldn’t ask for a better place to stay in New York. We really loved our stay and would definitely come back on a future trip!

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and perfect for what we needed. The views from the room were amazing, empire State building and Chrysler building.

The staff is consistently professional and helpful. They exuded hospitality. I felt personally welcomed each time I returned to the Pod 39 lobby. The bed was comfortable.

Comfort was less than excellent to the extent that it was hard to maneuver getting in and out of the shower. It's a reasonable compromise. The room is very efficiently laid out, which meant that I had to walk sideways to get around the bed to the bathroom. The fixed rainfall shower made washing my armpits a challenge. One of the managers, Jenae, followed up on one of the concerns I raised. That was very professional and thoughtful.

Perfect location and great value for the price

Be careful when paying, to Pay in dollar. Because i did not realise the receptionist put the price in eur and it was not convenient course, which make me Pay more around 30€. But this is the only flaw i had during my stay, apart from this it was 10/10 experience in Pod39 hotel
