Location was great a busy area of Seoul with a lot going on, especially for the younger crowd. Lots of local food options close by and transport with buses and subway all within a few minutes walk. Blue Bottle cafe on the ground floor does the best coffee in Korea, great start to the day. Gym is small but ok and the bar on level 15 is excellent. On the airport side of the city which is prob a bonus for business stopovers.

Location wise, it is not the centre of city so have factor that in - each attraction is a subway or bus trip, sometimes with switching lines involved. Over time, its easier to optimise each trip though so it becomes less of a factor. Breakfast in these hotels is super expensive if you want something simple like granola, so we avoided it. Be great if hotels offered a cheap limited breakfast of granola/toast plus coffee.

Lively youthful vibe in the hotel and area. Many restaurants nearby. The room was quiet and tastefully decorated. Beautiful bathroom. Lovely touches like complimentary facial masks. Warm reception from concierge who provide additional services like restaurant recommendations.

Music in reception lobby a little too loud for me.

Excellent furnishings, extremely clean and we loved the location. The bed was very comfortable and quiet at night. They had a water filter built into the room, meaning unlimited water (which is not the norm for South Korea as a lot of places simply give you bottled water).

Beautifully designed and thoughtfully curated, RYSE is a treat for anyone who appreciates great aesthetics. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and full of stylish details. Staff were consistently warm and helpful, making check-in and daily requests a breeze. The location is very convenient and lively — though personally not my favorite area in Seoul — it’s great for those who enjoy being close to shops and nightlife. A bonus? There’s a Blue Bottle café right at the entrance, perfect for a morning coffee before heading out.

Everything was great - the staff was very helpful with all our requests, the breakfast was delicious, and the location was excellent.

The room was a good size and quiet, the bed was very comfortable. Teh filtered water device was great meaning we had on tap water 24/7 and didn't need to ask for bottled water! The hotel is located close by many small restaurants and cafes making finding somewhere good to eat very easy. The Subway station is only a short walk from the hotel. Breakfast was good and had reasonable variety with very pleasant and friendly staff.

Overall there wasn't anything to dislike, occasionally the wait for the lifts was longer than would normally be expected.

The staff are always lovely, the place is clean with a nice scent, and it’s conveniently located.

I used to stay here back when there were even more amenities. If possible, I’d like to suggest bringing back complimentary drinking water.

The hotel is ideally positioned in Hongdae - the most trendies area of Seoul. The rooms are exceptionally good and the staff is very polite and attentive. Having Blue Bottle Coffee on the ground floor was excellent allowing you to grab your coffee in the morning and run off to whatever you have planned for the day. Definitely recommend to anyone traveling to Seoul.

Just be aware that it takes around an hour to get to many of the city’s main attractions.

Incredibly comfortable bed, quiet despite being in the heart of a busy area, great location close to the circle line metro and beautiful design.

We stayed at RYSE, Autograph Collection by Marriott from August 25–29 and had a wonderful experience. The hotel is perfectly located right in the heart of Hongdae, with countless restaurants, cafés, shops, and nightlife just steps away. The breakfast buffet was excellent, offering a wide range of both European and Asian dishes as well as fresh fruit. It even had a dedicated egg station. Our room was beautifully designed, spotlessly clean, and located on the 16th floor with a side view. A nice detail was the in-room drinking water station together with a fridge – very convenient. Overall, a stylish hotel with great service and atmosphere – we would definitely stay here again!

At night, we could hear some of the street artists and singers from Hongdae until around 11 pm, which reflects the lively neighborhood, but we didn’t hear any noise from the nightclub above.

Location. The hotel trendy vibe. The decor, you find very well curated art pieces throughout the hotel. It’s the place to be if you want to experience the atmosphere of hongdae. It’s located right in the heart of the vibrant Hongdae neighborhood.

The blue bottle downstairs, room was very clean, air conditioning perfect, staff was v friendly, room good size and modern, and right in the heart of Hongae !

Great design.

The room was increibly cold for my taste. No matter if you turn off air conditioning, It would always work. I put the temperature to 26 degrees when i arrived and I stayed 4 nights and it never went warmer than 23.1 degrees.

Design, location and insonorisation of the rooms were the true differentiators. We arrived 1 hour before our check in and got our rooms directly which is great after a long haul fight. Breakfast is good (except the coffee which is a machine) but expensive.

The bed was comfy, people are friendly, staff is helpful, Noah or Noel the bartender was amazing, the food was delicious.

Very conveniently located in Hongdae. Short walk to the train station, bus stop, shops and festival street where all the action is. Great gym and good coffee below. The Edition room was very comfortable.

A couple of times - the towels replaced had a damp smell to them. This was fixed by asking for a fresh set to be sent up.

What a pleasant surprise! We loved the bold, modern architecture and the stylish, loft-inspired rooms. Breakfast was excellent, offering a great variety of choices. The hotel’s private cinema was a fantastic touch, and the gym was well equipped. Located in the heart of Mapo-gu, it’s perfectly situated with a fun, youthful vibe that our teens truly enjoyed

The room was spacious and thoughtfully laid out. It had so of the amenities that you could possibly want. The hotel is in a great location and close to the subway station for convenient travel around the city. The area has plenty of restaurants, shopping, and things to do. The staff are great and to the time to help ensure our stay was enjoyable. On check in we received a bottle of wine and snacks and the express check out prices was seamless.

The location is perfect, my room was extremely comfortable. The breakfast buffet was incredible with so much choice. I spent my last few days in Seoul there and would recommend it!

The Editors room was exceptional and they upgraded us free of cost for the last few nights as we had decided to change rooms to save money. It's the perfect sized room for a family of three.

Honestly, I have no qualms. It was a most perfect stay. The only feedback I might have for the hotel is to have a limited 24/7 room service as restaurants close early in Seoul. That said the location is great and the concierge is always around to help you out in every way and give fantastic food recommendations.

1. The buffet breakfast could have more choices and variety for the price. 2. There was loud music that could be heard around midnight on a Friday night. Was a little hard to fall asleep.
