Too many people in a dorm with only one bathroom and toilet. Yes one could walk down stairs but just too much of a hustle . Reduce the beddings almost to eight people sharing

There is no hair dryer in the rooms. You need to go to the reception, give your passport and take it. How much does it cost to buy a hair dryer? I have stayed in a lot of hostels but I have never come across a situation like that! Also, the rooms are really small, no space to move. If you want a lower bed, they charge you extra money!!!! Whyyy???

It was conveniently placed and very clean

The Saturday night party went on until 2am in the bar area. It was a private party and the music was extremely loud (good music) if we could have used the bar area it would have been great but not being allowed and not being able to sleep either was frustrating.

If you are a young person who would like to develop the places I think that's the greatest place that you can see because in one room you can meet all people from all nations and actually really friendly there was not the place that you felt unsecure or unsafely actually it was quite opposite everybody was helping you out and I think that is the place that you can value the communication between the guests and also developing themselves to know more information about the other living country and etc.

Lack of respect from the bartender the story was really simple our friend was coming from the outside when he's to the place and he so our security guard which was really amazing person we don't remember the name but shout out respect to this guy really amazing fun and really communicative and our friend just shake the hand to his guard and when he saw that the bartender was also attending this conversation he suggested to shake the hand with him but the bartender in this case he refused to shake the hands and was really rude and don't even mention that after that I really truly asked him why he'd do this because my friend just wanted to shake the hand to respect his job what he's doing for this community and that was really friendly gesture which was denied from the bartender and he told us that his lifestyle to be honest I understand that the lifestyle for everybody is also personal but when you're working at the place where it is also really social I sing one shake hand is not a big deal and it does not gonna kill anybody so bartender zero

The bathroom was a bit gross

Absurdly good value for money. Located between two vaporetto stations in the historical city, neither of which are more than 5 minutes of walking away, a 10 minute ride away from Saint Mark's Square, and yet a night's stay costs about as much as a couple of drinks, or one main course in a decent restaurant - at least in the off-season. Practically designed for tourists, exceptional English all-around, both in signage and in service. The bar is excellent, with a lounge area at the ground floor provides ample space to chill out and talk to fellow guests. Easiest check-in I've experienced, even easier check-out; you literally just drop off your key card into a box and say goodbye. All of this combined with a level of cleanliness, both in washrooms and in the room itself, that wildly exceeded my expectations.

It's situated on the island of Giudecca, with zero bridge connections to the other islands, so to access your place to stay, you are reliant entirely on the vaporetto - but let's be real, if you want to explore as much of the city as possible, you're going to have a time-limited pass anyway. This mostly limits when you can start your journey, and something you should account for when catching public transport to or from the bus station, train station or the airport. My only actual grievance is that the room I stayed in had a shared bathroom with a door that couldn't be properly closed (a screw somehow lodged itself into the locking mechanism), and a shower that was only separated by a curtain. Though, given the fact that the rooms are, in fact, mixed (zero separation based on gender), certain... provocative signage, let's say, and protective items being sold in an automat, I kinda suspect that could be a feature of the place, rather than a flaw, if you're that kind of person. I personally wasn't there for that, so I'm neutral about it, but those who are sensitive to this aspect may be well-advised to put this into consideration before booking.

Nice fancy hostel, friendly staff, clean, safe

Location requires using Vaporetto to get to, keep that in mind! It was HOT in our room (during winter), couldn’t find a kitchen (probably there was one)

The staff was really nice, the common room was cosy and comfortable and I loved their board games, there was music, and a table soccer. The dinner options were cheap and very reasonable quality. I also absolutely loved the location super close to vaporetto, right at the water, calm and quiet, easy to find.

The showers were not very comfortable, quite small, no place to dry off out of the wet shower and the curtains didn't stay closed very easily, but other than that the water was warm and the stream strong enough. The breakfast was quite pricey for the quality.

All of the staff was super nice. Whatever I asked for they replied enthusiastically & with perfect English. The shared space is really cozy, especially after a cold winter day. The room I was in had natural light. The mattress was firm so I had a good sleep & the room was warm throughout the night (I was at another property in Venice before & the room would get cold during the night, unlike here). The cappuccino & croissant in the morning were good enough. Everything was clean. The Aperol at the bar was super good & only 5 euros. Despite my observations of things I would like improved, I would stay here again. The price was also really good, granted it was the first week of January so no high season

- I wish they would’ve offered shampoo & shower gel in the bathrooms. - Some downsides for me (not necessarily for others) would be that, unlike other hostels, you’re not allowed to bring your own food or drinks from outside. If the drinks are reasonably priced, for the food maybe I would’ve like to have to option of having a quick breakfast of my own or a light dinner (they do offer the option to buy, but it’s a bit restaurant price. I haven’t tried the food). - they have a locker were you can store your luggage after checkout, but it’s an extra cost. Usually the hostels I’ve strayed before they keep it without any charge - curtains on the beds & an extra socket on the bed would be a nice addition - this is not a downside or the property’s fault, but it’s something to consider when booking. The hostel is located on Giudecca, so one can only get there with the vaporetto. Take into consideration the vaporetto cost when booking, because the pass options are for 1,2,3 or 7 days. I stayed here for 4nights, so I had to take the 7 days pass to pe able to go back & forth. Otherwise the location is not a problem as the vaporettos are quite frequent & the stops are short.

A heavenly hostel! I stayed here years ago, before the general refurbishment of 10 years ago, and it was already fine but now it's absolutely stunning. The common room is wide and pleasant, the bar is welcoming and the staff is friendly. The rooms are clean and well equipped. Plus, as soon as you get out of the door you have the best view ever in front of you. Magic! PS once out turn right, then right again and you'll get to Pasticceria Stella, a simple but impeccable cafe.

Just that my dorm partner was having a very loud sleep due to her snoring, I wasn't able to sleep properly, but it ain't the problem from the hotel so I am cool with it.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. I had to leave very early to catch a train, and they helped me to get to the correct boat station for the nightline boats. The lounge/common area is really comfortable and nice. There are areas where you can eat and drink from the bar. There are areas where you can sit and relax and watch TV or just sit in silence and read. It was really refreshing to have such an inviting common area. The beds are very comfortable, and the linen is fresh and clean. There is one charge port for every bed and a light, which helps if you have a phone that needs to be charged overnight. The showers have good water pressure and the water is nice and hot.

The bathroom was a little small. I don't know whether there are other bathrooms available, but the one that I used was very small considering the number of people that stay there. It didn't bother me at all - it's just something to take note of.

It was relatively clean. Not the best (there were stains in sheet and blanket) but i can tell it was 8.5/10 clean. The staff were incredibly friendly. Good value!

The lockers under the bed was very heavy and not useful. I hurt my finger and also they very loud. I also did not like that bathrooms and showers were in the same area and relatively very small.

The room was very clean, even though the room was crowded. The beds were comfortable and new, which made the stay pleasant. Overall, the hostel was well-maintained and organized.

The only downside is the location. It is not on the main Venice island, so you need to use a water bus to get to the city center, which means extra cost. Other than that, we were satisfied with our stay.

the room smells bad and it was far from the center. i had to take a waterboat daily pass which costs 20€. if you wanna save money and time find somewhere around the center (there was a strike that day)

The front desk and the main area is great. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The dorm was clean and all basic facilities were available.

We had a very nice view to Venice's skyline. It is a very arty and original place with a young and adventurous vibe. Personell was super friendly. Very relaxed everything. Hostel style.

The lockers are noisy and it is a good idea to bring your own lock. The bathrooms could be cleaner and shower larger.

The showers didn’t have any bath mats from when you’re getting out so I slipped a few times and some of the shower doors were just frosted glass which made me feel a bit uncomfortable. I’d have rather preferred a shower curtain or full door.

I liked the downstairs area with a café and bar. There's also books and games available there which is perfect for group of friends staying there or even getting to know new people in the hostel. The light at the bed is nice, not too bright so you don't feel like you're disturbing others but you can still see as needed.

I didn't feel any privacy in the shower. The bathroom is separate for men and women, so it's not a complete deal breaker as there were only woman in the room, but the glass door is only partially blurred so I could straight up make eye contact with people in the room while showering. Plus if someone enters, one of the showers is right in the view as it's next to the door.

loved the water bus station right nearby. inside was fun and well decorated.

curtains are always nice to have in hostels. it was also reallly warm inside. there were also a lot of kids, like 10-14 year olds on school trips during the week so that was pretty chaotic.

Large hotel like hostel with enough space in the room for people to open baggage & get ready. Has restaurant & bar on premises.

Additional charges - lockers / baggage storage, towels, early / late checkin. If you book an additional day/s, they made you check out and wait till 2/3pm to check into another room, which was really disruptive to travel plans in the day. You cant fall asleep in the common area which they allocate to patrons waiting to check in, if people fell asleep security would walk past and wake them ALL up telling them to open their eyes and sit up as it 'looked messy'. The shower in the room was horrendous and leaked water, very expensive hostel. No fridge available.

very nice staff, very clean rooms and facilities

you have to buy the day pass to use the vaporetto to get to the hostel, which is not cheap. also you cannot bring outside food and drink to the hostel so you must eat outside or at restaurants. it is a nice view and i’m glad i stayed here but i will definitely be staying in the mainland of venice next time.

Great location

I couldn’t sleep well during my stay at night because of the noise from the boat engines and other disturbing sounds.

I love the place its easy to go to the center of venice theres a water bus near.

Loved that it’s on a separate island your view is the whole St. Mark’s Square! Great coffee bar, just wish for a few more showers and a bit more space. Still, great value!

It’s an excellent location if you don’t mind taking a boat that costs €9.50 every time you want to get to the main cluster of islands. It’s much more affordable with a multi-day pass (2-day is €35) but if you stay in Venice Mestre the train is only €1.50 and it’s about the same travel time. The staff were wonderful, charming and helpful in every way. They deserve 20 stars. They also have a €5 piatto del giurno dinner that was a modestly well-sized portion and satisfyingly delicious.

The coffee definitely needs some improvement. I had an americano that tasted like unsavory water. There is far better coffee at the nearby Redentore boat station. A huge group of children were staying when I was there, shrieking and laughing during all waking hours and trashing the bathroom sink. This was highly unpleasant for those guests who were not part of their group. I would prefer to stay at a child-free property.

The location and the staff, the amazing view from the room

The beds are so close to each other you feel like you literally sleep next to the other person. The bathroom could be cleaner and also there is just one bathroom for the whole room (8 ppl), could have 2 and separate them with the toilet because when someone is taking a shower the toilet is also locked and unusable 🤷🏻‍♀️
