The Hoxton, Vienna

Amenities within the hotel and the room, the on site restaurant, toiletries are nice and locally made, very close to the main train station in Vienna and it was VERY clean, one of the most important aspects for me when travelling

The 7am drilling - when we asked why the drilling happened so early on a Monday morning were told it was the only time the work could be completed by the company the hotel was using. While there was an apology I would have expected better communications (upon check in, a letter under the door) and/or compensation (free cocktail at any Hoxton bar?) from a chain like The Hoxton. Alternatively, don't put bookings near the room where the drilling is if it's going to be at such an early hour? The rooms were quite warm and when we were unable to put the AC on - we were told if its a certain temperature outside we are unable to turn the AC on. The sleeps were quite warm both nights (we stayed in Jan/Feb) and you are not able to open the windows to offset the lack of AC The wait for the breakfast Sunday morning was almost an hour. This was more an issue our side as we left it until an hour before they stopped serving AND there was a wedding the night before (which we didn't know) - its more a flag to anyone with specific timings to give yourself more than enough time for breakfast or to go earlier than normal on a weekend. Monday morning breakfast we were sat quickly and served swiftly

The breakfast was tasty, staff friendly and service was very quick. The rooftop bar had lovely views. Room was great, cosy, clean and the shower and bathroom products were excellent.

The aircon didn’t seem to go lower than 20 in the room so it was quite hot in the middle of the night despite us playing about with it. Not enough to warrant a call to front desk but my husband was uncomfortable sleeping in the heat.

Beautifully decorated, amazing location, very friendly staff! Amazing on site restaurant and bar.

It would be amazing if it had some more wellness facilities as pool is shut half the year, the rooms didn’t have the best storage but we were in a smaller one so maybe this is why.

Great location , walkable to the centre of the city, near to the tram / metro. The style of the room in 60th with authentic radio and phone returns us to the old Vienne. The breakfast was tasty with different choice. Definitely I would recommend this Hotel!

Very stylish and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. Great that there’s a Spar just around the corner, as well.

The aircon was tricky to navigate so a bit of a sleepless night (was very loud).

Everything about it was pretty fantastic

There were not enough tables for breakfast, considering the hotel is very big, so I had to wait in line until a table became available.

Breakfast was nice although no vegetables served. 2 Teams at breakfast one very nice and one really not .At the reception always very nice

Design in the room is not comfortable, no cupboard, we were an entire week for work, there were high open shelves. No place for the towel in the bathroom , no drawers in the room . Bed extremely small

I liked the room and its decor, lovely bathroom, good tea and coffee making facilities. The roof top bar was really relaxing , as was the general feel of the Hotel. The freshly squeezed orange juice and coffee at breakfast were very good. Hotel was well positioned and we would have no hesitation in recommending to others. I found the staff at reception very helpful, they were always warm and polite.

Although we enjoyed the food at breakfast time we sat in the main lobby to eat our breakfast. This was due to the main dining area being very busy. To be fair, we could have used the proper dining area but would have had to wait a little longer and as we were meeting friends both days we were a little short of time.

Staff was very helpful and friendly, location superb, easy walking to the city centre, super roof-top bar with a great view and pool (for summer stays), good restaurant on ground floor, very enjoyable public park accross the street, shops and further resaurants very nearby.

I would have liked to open the window a little to renew the air, if you stay there a week like we did, you need fresh air - but I gues that's some sort of regualtion to keep them closed. The carpets in the hall could have done with a better vacuum cleaning.

Great location, very stylish, loved the roof top bar in the spring sunshine. Rooms are spacious along with the comfiest mattress & pillows. Breakfast delicious. Pleasant helpful staff..

Very stylish hotel, the room is not very big, but very cozy and the atmosphere is wonderful. The breakfast was delicious and varied, everything was very nice. The hotel's location is great, if it is a warm season, then all the attractions can be easily reached on foot

I liked the preserved 1950s aesthetic, and I enjoyed the rooftop bar and the restaurant. The room was cosy and clean, and I appreciated the QR code that provided the FAQs.

My room wasn't cleaned on my first morning there, which was puzzling.

Really liked the location, served by public transportation and very safe. Clean and cool. A lot of activities. Breakfast was tasty. Really liked the touch of water and commodities refill.

Room was clean, but the chandelier was full of dust. Breakfast lacked more options (example: there was no bacon available, apart from a "ask once" between bacon and waffle)

This is really lovely hotel. It does genuinely have a boutique feel to it. The bedroom was very comfortable, with a great view towards the city centre. The rooftop bar has wonderful views. Breakfast was excellent.

The staff were super friendly and helpful. They printed tickets for us and recommended great places to eat and drink. The location was really good: just by the station and within walking distance of all the attractions.

It was a wonderful stay so not much to dislike. The sink was leaking upon arrival but they fixed it and were very easy to communicate with.

The food was great. The quality of the hotel was very high. We were a bit confused about the staff member trying desperately to get us to pay €50 a night to cover any costs but everyone else was amazing. The front of house in the Bouvier was brilliant.

One morning there were long delays to be seated and served for breakfast. The hotel was full due to an event the night before but there didn’t seem to be enough staff to cope

Fantastic breakfast with kind staff in the breakfast room and lobby bar. Hotel has a nice decor and vibe. In rooms I loved the floors, comfy beds, beautiful and well functioning shower rooms. Location Superb only a walking distance from the city center sights and Belvedere. Also well connected to Metro.

Allthough the rooms were very nice the soundproofing could be slightly better to the corridors also in the Shoebox size room the bedside electricity sockets were missing. The level of helpfulness and know how of the Front desk staff seemed to truly depend on whom you talk to.

A bit cold at spa zone and shower doesn’t work properly.

We did not like how the cleaners did not take all the rubbish out after attending our room and they have not even changed the sheets or make the bed properly (happened on 09.02.26 room 204) Also the wAter was not replaced which was very surprising (in a bad way). Lots of room for improvement for the money they are asking for.

Wonderful location, price and environment. Lovely touches in the room, extremely comfortable, plenty of amenities. The breakfast was incredible and the dinners were just as great. The rooftop terrace was an incredible bonus, and had we had a chance to properly visit, I'm sure we would've loved the basement jazz bar, too. I've never enjoyed using a hotel's facilities so much. I highly recommend.

Breakfast was a bit of a shambles, everything is ordered but dining room is too small and kitchen understaffed, a buffet system would be way better. The queue to sit was long, the food is pre-cooked and sort of reheated which means you get it quickly but its not hot. Coffee and juice came 40mins after the food on one day! The rooms were a bit warm, the air-con won't go below 20 and opening the window is noisy

The food was really nice and a very nice rooftop bar.

The queue for breakfast was too long and it was disappointing that staff were allowing people with reservations who were not guests to skip the queue. Had to wait in the queue for 30+ mins just to get a seat one night.

We didn’t like having to queue up for a table at breakfast and then not being able to sit with our friends who we were traveling with as there were no tables for 4 people available The service was slow particularly the coffee and tea and we had finished our breakfast before we got our coffee which was not good We also felt pressured to eat it quickly and leave so the table could be given to someone else

From the minute we walked through the door, the vibe was chilled and the we were wowed. Check in so easy and every member of staff we met was so helpful and approachable. The Whats App chat was fab and easy to request pillows, more coffee etc. Breakfast was amazing value, incredible choice with table service and the girl who looked after us was exceptional. Rooms really quiet, never heard any other guests, well maintained and stylish. Loved the touch of having the radio playing softly as you enter the bedroom for the first time. Fabulous shower and toiletries, bed was extremely comfortable. We visited Caya Coco on the rooftop and had such a chilled nightcap on the terrace overlooking the magnificent night time view of Vienna. Location was perfect, a ten minute walk took you to the core of the city, with fantastic restaurants and major sights just a short walk away. Hoxton will now be our first choice for city stays.

Nothing! Might be helpful to highlight times where breakfast may bottleneck and avoid the tantrums of some poorly behaved guests.

There are definitely things to like about this hotel. The design is tasteful, featuring a great Art Deco facade that makes a strong first impression. The property is very clean, and the location in Vienna is super central. You can easily walk everywhere, which is a huge plus.

However, the service and amenities were disappointing. The staff was cold and unenthusiastic, and the rooms were quite small. The main issue was that the restaurant and bar hours were completely erratic. We tried to have breakfast three times but couldn't because the kitchen was either closed or the venue was shut down for a private event. At one point, I couldn't even get a coffee after 11 AM. Because of this unpredictability, I don't think it's good value for your money.

Great hotel in a fantastic location, very close to the city centre. The breakfast was delicious and the staff were excellent—friendly and professional throughout our stay. The room was very clean and stylish, although a bit on the small side. The rooftop bar was excellent and definitely a highlight. Overall, a very enjoyable stay.

High deposit withouth particular reason

We stayed at the 7th floor and there was a lot of noise from the 8th floor, even after midnight.

Very central, staff friendly and spoke good English, both restaurant and bar good vibes. Very clean hotel and housekeepers attentive each day.

The only thing I could fault was that the tv in the room had 5 channels which were news channels, they did not have any apps to play Netflix or Disney plus etc, we also received a scratch card to win a free drink or other free stuff to which we had won 3 shamrocks (a free drink up to £20)but on the second day we noticed it was missing from the room, so we checked the room though roughly but could not find it.

The atmosphere, the location and the people.

Very cozy hotel, well equipped and decorated rooms.

Breakfast by menu, could be buffet, or have the drinks part free, it is very limited. It could even have more Viennese specialties. Even the bar was limited, without options for example of dark beer that even has some local tradition.

The location is just perfect! Very nicely decorated. The bar and the restaurant serve delicious food

Great location, very clean. Room was spaciuos and bright. Loved the breakfast (not the usual messy buffet)

Mattress and pillow were a bit too soft for my personal taste
