The AC fan was too loud; it kept us up all night.

Location was great, close to everything.

For Kimpton’s standard, The George was tired and needs updating. Common areas are not properly attended to, especially the carpet.

Hidden charges ot posted.

Location was great. Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Room was large and bed was comfy! Great water pressure.

The location of the hotel was good for us. The staff from front desk to the valet were helpful, friendly and professional.

We did not like that the lobby was freezing cold to the point the staff needed heaters behind the desk. We did not like that after stepping out only to return to a cold room that evening with a loud banging noise coming from where I suspect the furnace blower was located. No need to mention things that are not a necessity so ill leave it to the heat issue.

Location and Staff can’t be beat

It was clean and although in a busy area it was quiet.

The amenities that Kimpton is known for wasn’t there. The front desk staff did tell me there was an issue with the vendor especially after Covid.

The location is perfect, very close to both the train station and the capital. The staff is great, very responsive and helpful. They put out a light continental breakfast in the morning, and serve complimentary wine from 5-6 pm. We enjoyed our stay very much!

Great location, with walking distance to Capitol and Union Station. A few cafes around as well. Bed was avg but still good. The room was spacious with a little couch and a desk. Staff were very friendly though.

Very basic hotel with just a gym. No bar or restaurant. The complimentary breakfast was not a 4 star worthy. No views from the hotel room.

The stay was splendid, and the hotel is very well located. We spent two nights at the Kimpton George Hotel in Washington, D.C. The room was very comfortable and clean, and the bathroom was spectacular. The service was top-notch.

The only aspect that I believe could be improved is the breakfast area. The breakfast itself was somewhat limited, and there were not enough tables to sit comfortably. There are some sofas, but there is nowhere to place your coffee, making the space for having your morning coffee quite uncomfortable

You cannot call that a breakfast. Pièces of art around the hotel are a shame. Please do better. Sure there is local affordable talented artists.

Great staff, nice room, amazing location. Only downfall was that the restaurant there is currently unavailable. So that limited certain amenities on the property.

Breakfast was good but I wish there are more savory options, like boiled eggs or non-pork breakfast sandwich (we are Muslims so we couldn't eat the sausage breakfast sandwich)

I was really hoping to have a microwave in the room. I used the one in the lobby which was a bit inconvenient, but I am glad it was an option.

Location was perfect. A short 10 minute walk to the US Capitol, and a 5 minute walk to Union Station. Restaurants are also nearby.

The George is perfect for a visit to Capitol Hill.

Great location close to the National Mall and walkable to more active and vibrant neighborhoods. The hotel room was super comfortable and the staff incredibly kind.

We had to switch rooms because the toilet in our first room wouldn’t flush.

The current restaurant will be closing soon. We had a good breakfast there but since it will be replaced any further review seems pointless.

The only change would be to replace some the hall carpeting and painting - all seemed a little dated.

The breakfast at the restaurant was not great. We had to wait to be served, the portion, quality was not at level for what we were charged.

The location, the great restaurant (which is closing soon), and the friendly staff. Very good reading lights all over the room. Lots of device plugs.

You could hear people in the hall ways fairly easily.

The facilities are ok. It was comfortable and clean. The room was large. I wish there had been a light on the table.between the beds and a place to charge my phone on the same table. (There was an outlet on the desk across the room.). We were not fans of the glass, barn door style of door for the bathroom. (Who thought it would be a good idea to make a full-length glass door for a bathroom? The glass was opaque, but still….) Where this place really shines is with their staff. Every single person provided exceptional service, well beyond what was expected. They were genuine and kind and really wanted to help. We would stay here again because of the staff (though the bathroom door would still be a”turn off”).

The front desk staff were efficient. I like to mention Davine, who made our stay most welcoming, not only to the hotel, but to the whole city.

The hotel didn't have a roof deck from which to view the surrounding areas. But then it wasn't that tall anyway.

The location is amazing . Staffers were incredibly helpful and friendly . The on site restaurant had great service and delicious food.

Our only hiccup was our suv was too big for the garage- the valet manager helped us find a suitable option nearby .

I loved their decor, classy with quirky historic vibes. I especially loved the closeness to the Capital Building which we were able to take a nice night time walk to. Parking lot across the street is much cheaper than hotel. Room provides with 2 bottles of complimentary water which is great. Room was very clean. They allow dogs to stay which we loved since we travel with ours.

The hotel was not as family friendly as I expected, as I would have liked or what I am used to. For example, I didn't see any vending machines for late night snacks, especially traveling with kids I assume there should be at least one in a hotel especially since there are NO nearby stores open in the area for late snacks. And their restaurant closes early. Front desk has some random candy they sell but it's in the dark in the back, awkward, not welcoming for guests. Also, not enough easy to reach PLUGS to charge all our devices, especially with modern days when everyone needs to plug their phones and laptops when touring a city.

The staff was very welcoming and friendly. The hotel was very nice and even the room was vintage and clean. It is close to the union city mall.

the hot water took a long time to come out and the heat didn’t work that great so the room was very cold the mechanic came and left 5 minutes later saying it was fixed and the heat still wasn’t much better.

We have stayed at this hotel many times over the years and it needs some fixups. It is getting worn. Also... The breakfast was very expensive for the quality.

While we had a large double bed the mattress was very wiggly and any movement disturbed the other’s sleep.

The entrance way set the tone. Loved the art throughout. Location and street view was great for us, it was quiet and away from the bustling streets but close enough to get amongst it when we were ready to venture out. Friendly and accomodating staff. Enjoyed the snack, coffee, breakfast, and travel perks we received with our package.

The 206 bathroom door was too heavy for me to slide back and forth, we didn't get room service the first day (I assume it was because we arrived at 6am in the morning), and the iron was leaking like a waterfall when I used the steam function.

Smaller boutique hotel within walking distance of the Capitol and Mall. Friendly and helpful staff

Most rooms don’t have any kind of view since it’s a low rise surrounded by other buildings. The area around the hotel is full of government buildings so there’s little street activity and a good walk from most restaurants.

the bathroom door was a sliding door and it would frequently get stuck. the parking was listed at $55 per day and the charge at checkout was $64.90 per day.
