Point A Hotel, Glasgow

Close to the city centre, the friendly and helpful staff, very clean and functional, good coffee in the morning.

No wardrobe closet, the duvets were short so that my feet got uncovered several times in the middle of the night.

bathroom door was clear so i had to get up to turn both the lights off, and it opened the wrong way.

My room was too cold on a very cold day. I pointed this out to staff and they told me that the hotel is undergoing gradual refurbishment of all the rooms.

Good budget option for an overnight stay.

Only found out at breakfast time that breakfast isn't included if booked through booking.com, £11 extra, I was under the impression it was included.

Point A is usually good value and often has the best deal for central Glasgow (unless Glasgow is having a crazy hotel price week - which can be quite often!) The location is excellent.

The rooms are starting to show a bit of wear and tear. This is mostly due to the shelves and wall panels delaminating.

The hotel is conveniently located in downtown Glasgow. The room is very minimal but not too small for me (staying one night alone). Everything was clean and I thought the room design was kind of cool despite being windowless. Good price; good breakfast buffet.

The breakfast isn’t included if you don’t book direct through Point A; this can be a little confusing because when you check in they just tell you where to get breakfast in the morning as if you’re already signed up for it. However, you can pay the £11 breakfast charge in the breakfast room if you haven’t already signed up.

The coffee machine is in need of repair to extract a good milk and throth finish for latte, capuccino and rather flat white.

Ideally located between Glasgow Central and Queens Street stations for using train. Good value clean hotel

The staff were helpful and friendly, the hotel was clean, the bed was comfy, the hotel is very close to the shops, theatres and bus and train stations and is very easy to find

There’s a multicoloured lights that is fine but there should a normal light too.

Location is good as well within city centre. Continental Breakfast was more than adequate.

Communal hallways in dire need of re decoration. They can’t blame people’s cases for the scuff marks on the walls as they are higher than most cases so must be due to the housekeeping trolley carts. No drawers in rooms so are only useful for 1 or 2 nights stay otherwise you’d be living out of your case.

The facilities were clean and well kept. Staff were very friendly and polite. The lighting in the room was really fun, including disco mode! Close to a very secure car park, so that was reassuring.
