Great location and wonderful staff. Breakfast was excellent.

Everything! Great location on the water front. We used the car booked by the fabulous staff and it was able to drop us off outside the door- otherwise you will need to negotiate the steep slope next to it! Booked this property because of the wonderful comments about the staff and they were absolutely correct - we had the pleasure of meeting Luisa, Luis and Adrianna who were absolutely wonderful from start to finish! They can’t do enough to help you, making recommendations and reservations for us and it was much appreciated. Breakfast was gorgeous in the small dining room, immaculate and organised with precision timing - gorgeous fruit, juice, hot drinks, fresh bread, cheese, eggs, yoghurt, pastries - lovely! Rooms are not large but it didn’t matter to us. We had a side street view and even that was lovely! Comfortable beds and air conditioning ( needed as it was hot when we were there! ) highly recommended! Thanks for looking after us so well!

Perfect location. Great breakfast. The staff, Luisa, Luis and Adriana were just the perfect hosts. They were eager to help us navigate the area and genuinely joyful in every interaction we had. I can’t say enough good things about the staff. Our stay couldn’t have been more perfect

Cozy place in a perfect location near the river and in the old town. Many local restaurants nearby.

The location of the hotel was perfect. Close to the river which provided gorgeous views everyday from our room. All of the staff made it so easy and provided us services such as navigation, Ubers and taxis, recommended dinning, and were available for any of our needs at all times.

Everything was excellent

While the location is fantastic, and the breakfast second to none, the thing that really stands out with this tiny hotel of just 8 rooms is the staff. Luis and Louisa enthusiastically welcomed us, provided recommendations on what to see and do and eat (and where to find the best franceshina and pastel de nata), and ensured we were well fed before each day’s adventures. Months before we even arrived, Luis arranged a driver to meet us at the airport at midnight, ensuring that transfer to the hotel along pedestrian-only streets went smoothly.

Nothing to not like. The rooms are small, but this is expected (not a criticism).

The hotel is fantastic! Our room overlooked the river with a wonderful sunrise. Perfect central location. Staff attentive and couldn’t be more helpful. Lots of local restaurants. Breakfast was the best I’ve had in a hotel.

The breakfast was exceptional. The arrangement of fresh fruit was stunning. Options of cooked eggs, basket or wonderful breads, yogurts and pastries all on offer. The guest house was right on the river front and close to all the bars and restaurants in Ribeira. The staff were so friendly and helpful, especially Luis. Mo tea making facilities but staff happy to make tea and coffee on arrival. Would definitely return

The location is perfect. The guest house is very clean, the rooms in the back have a lovely view. Breakfast is delicious. And the absolute best part is their manager, Luis. He is the MOST dedicated person to customer service in the world…and he does it with kindness and immense patience. I would recommend the back rooms and not the ones facing the front.

The front room was very noisy at night until late.

Everything from the minute we walked in we were greeted by Luis and later Philip. Everything was immaculate and the breakfast was even better than any 5 Star hotel! Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Luis and staff were so attentive! I had to leave early and he went out of his way to make sure I was fed in the morning. And the breakfast was magnificent to include fresh exotic fruit! Highly recommend this hotel!

Room and bathroom was clean but a little small.

Excellent breakfasts. Extremely attentive staff. Central location, near many restaurants. Despite its location, a quiet room. The whole establishment looks completely new. The small number of rooms gave the feeling of home.

Breakfast was outstanding, with a huge variety of choices offered. Louisa was a fantastic host. The location is central Porto on the Duoro River and close to a huge volume of restaurants. The hosts also offered us numerous opportunities for food.

The hotel is a boutique hotel in the historic area of Porto and therefore the rooms are rather small and tight. But it suited our needs on 2 nights, 1 before and 1 afternoon our river cruise

The guesthouse is in a great location near the restaurants and shops with beautiful views over the River. The owners and their team were so friendly and helpful. Amazing breakfast with fresh fruit and croissants. Highly recommend!!

Just amazing.... the location Room 202 and 302 with view of water is breathtaking. Amazing to wake up to such a view. Breakfast was gorgeous, fruit, juice, bread, eggs to your liking and pastries. Walking distance to everywhere and lovely bars to have late night ports by water near hotel. All staff are amazing also.

Brilliant location on the Douro river. The staff were incredibly friendly, always available to talk about our stay, what to do, where to go etc. Breakfast was fantastic with amazing fruit and pastries from the local food market.

Room a bit small.

The gentlemen that worked at the front desk were very friendly and professional. We enjoyed the quaint and quiet accommodations. The delicious breakfast every morning and the location was perfect! We loved the view of the Douro river and all of the bridges.

Located in an old historical building, it's centrally located near lots of attractions & facilities, and walking distance to some fabulous restaurants. One of only 8 rooms, our bedroom was petite but exceptionally functional with a wonderful outlook over the river and Vila Nova de Gaia area. Breakfast made to order was served in a small but wonderfully decorated room where you got to meet some of the other guests. Staff, Louisa & Philip were absolutely delightful and went out of their way to recommend attractions and local restaurants, particularly those frequented by locals as apposed to tourists. Would highly recommend.

Extraordinarily helpful and pleasant staff. They are all great! Breakfasts have been lovely. The building feels safe and secure.

The rooms are very small but that is function of the size of the building.
